I propose to research reasons of passive participation of young people in political life of the state and their real possibilities in it. What do they know about real democracy and how the state should work? In the majority of cases the answer is nothing. Why does it happen?

The EU-Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee is an important part of the existing Partnership and Cooperation Agreement. Its mission is to continue at various levels existing political dialogue between Russia and the EU at the parliamentary level.
The dialogue between Russia and the EU is a profound and multi-faceted process. In this article I would like to concentrate on the economic aspects of the cooperation between the Russian Federation and the European Union.
This article was inspired by two events in which I took part in 2009.  One of them was science-related and exclusively Russian, while the other was devoted to international political affairs.

The cooperation between Russia and the countries of the European Union is currently based on the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) dated 1994, which establishes partnership between the Russian Federation, on one side, and European Communities and their member states, on the other side.

Last year, in advance of the November Russia-EU summit, a series of research projects were carried out under the auspices of the Institute of Modern Development Foundation regarding different aspects of our relations with the European Union.

On October 20-21, in Perm, geographically the first city of Europe, a remarkable event is to take place: the first international conference of regions of Russia and other European countries.

An ambitious task to make in Russia an international financial center set before leaders of the country resulted to ambiguities in assessments made both by local and foreign colleagues.

Many readers of the P&S around the world would rather know what is the destiny of the Russian economy in the world crisis times. Meanwhile the experts have different points of view on this question. Today we are publishing the opinion of one of the best-known Russian financial experts Victor Geraschenko which is expressed in his article for P&S.
